AT PWC SINGAPORE

Centralised workplace web application allows PwC Singapore staff to work smart by booking a meeting room, manage schedule, find people and diverse internal service at one place

MY ROLE

As a UX/UI designer on this project, I did from defining all feature lists that have not existed except for basic features from Australia workplace web app to designing all UI guides and elements.

- Create relevant content details

- Set desk check-in system policies

- Information Architecture

- Wireframe

- User Flow

- Task Flow

- Development management and communication

PROJECT GOAL

As a first UX designer in DXO team (Digital Experience Office),  Our first mission was to create a new centralized workplace web application for PwC Singapore internal staffs. Another goal was to adopt a technique called Agile Product Development Process into the PwC Singapore that allows one centralized platform to evolve consistently adding and modifying its services, not as a one-time development as what PwC singapore has done conventionally for internal services.

CHALLENGE

Before I joined the company, PwC Singapore has decided to buy a workplace web app which PwC Australia has developed. The Australia version of web app has few basic functions such as booking a room, find available desks (for hot desking), People search, AV control for a meeting room, building map. However, those functions lacked user-friendliness and designed in the developer’s point of view. Therefore, my team decided to design a new workplace web app for PwC Singapore keeping only the necessary technical elements.  Secondly, PwC Singapore either bought or developed all different internal applications from each department respectively without a centralised platform. To centralise all separated internal services, we defined and reorganised to put them at one place give user clear navigation.
