UX RESEARCH &

STRATEGY

INTRODUCTION

One of the values that UX designers can bring to the company is to help non-user-centered organizations to have a broad view regarding users by conducting user researches. LUMIQ also had the problem of losing its focus by targeting all different financial advisory types with different needs.

To solve this problem, my team and I conducted user interviews and workshops to suggest the main target group so as to make the first round of funding successful.

WORKSHOP & RESEARCH FOR USER SEGMENTATION

To win in the battle, the first thing you need to do is to understand your targets. In the finance world, there are many different types of wealth advisors and they have their own focus and needs. To create a foundation for attractive features, the team and I met diverse financial experts and interview them. Based on our findings, we ran a Value Proposition Workshop. From there, we could finalize our main target group as "External Asset Managers" who appreciate our fully customizable portfolio creation features.

COMPETITOR ANALYSIS

Understanding competitors is a great way to understand the market and users. In order to suggest better UX strategies, I conducted a competitor analysis of features and their USP (Unique Selling Point) from a UX designer perspective. The data is shared and discussed with the Product Manager and Product Marketing team. This laid a foundation for my team to build a solid strategy for our product and marketing.

DESIGN SYSTEM

UX/UI DESIGN

INTRODUCTION

During the time that I joined, LUMIQ was preparing its first product launch which was designed by a freelancer. However, the UX Flow and UI design were poorly designed (Refer to below). Despite not having enough time to fix all problems before the time that LUMIQ had to demo to potential clients, I decided to make quick improvements. Since then, I have improved the UX/UI. In addition, I have created design guidelines and a design system for brand consistency.
